Infrastructure 1: Transport Feasibility Studies

The course on Transport Feasibility Studies was held in Istanbul, Turkey from 28 June to 1 July 2005.

This course provided an introduction to all the main aspects of transport project feasibility studies and investment appraisal, to identify the key elements of such studies as required by the International Funding Institutions (IFIs) and demonstrated the main appraisal techniques.   The main objective was to assist the participants in developing local resources to undertake such studies in the context of the MTIN project, to review consultants’ proposals and reports and to use the results of these studies to present projects for funding to their own Governments and the IFIs.  The main emphasis wason the preparation of “bankable projects”.
