|
Location: Brussels, Belgium Dates: 01-02 June 2005
Key documents: Agenda (FR 114Kb) List of participants (FR 100Kb) |
Summary:The third National Counterpart Team Meeting (NCT 3) took place in Brussels, Belgium, on the 1 and 2 June 2005, and was organised directly after the meeting of the High-Level Group on the extension of the trans-European transport network to neighbouring countries in which several National Coordinators (NCs) were also involved.
The first day of the NCT3 meeting enabled the representatives of each of the 12 MEDA / EU countries to discuss in detail the contents of the Blue Paper, whereas the second day was essentially devoted to the activities of the two project contracts (additional technical studies, concept paper on the intermodal project, organisation of training seminars, etc.).
At the NCT 3 meeting, the NCs reviewed the current state of progress of the project under its two components (Main Contract and Infrastructure Contract), and discussed the draft of the Blue Paper prepared by the project team.
Participants also discussed some key issues related to the development of the Euro-Mediterranean transport infrastructure network by examining the main axes / corridors and priority projects identified by the Infrastructure Contract and by the High-Level Group.
The meeting also made it possible to review the additional activities foreseen to be carried out by the project (training seminars, technical studies, transport planning tools and databases) and to discuss the outline for the new Motorways of the Sea Contract. Photo Gallery:
