Ms Suha Nassar Director of Arab, International Cooperation Ministry of Transportation
Her EuroMed involvement dates back to 2003 and her education covers a broad spectrum – Suha Nassar is a civil engineer, holds a Masters degree in environmental engineering and a Ph.D in international relations. She is a member of the ISMF Institutional and Sector Modernisation Facility Technical Committee and represents Syria in a high-level Europe/neighbouring countries transport group. Her expertise includes feasibility studies, environmental-impact assessment, project-cycle management and economic financial analysis.
She speaks Arabic, English and German and has previously been an assistant professor in Damascus University and deputy director planning for Gov.Damascas. She has been a board member for the Euro-Arab Cooperation Center, Damascus city council and the Syrian Engineers Union.
Ms Suha Nassar has been the representative of the National Coordinator of Syria.
On September 2007, a new National Coordinator Mr. Rajeh Sarea, Vice Minister for Land Transport, and a new Deputy National Coordinator Ms. Rasha Mohammad, International Cooperation Director, have been nominated. Photos Gallery:
