Archive Project News | The Call for Motorways of the Sea Pilot Project was closed on March 15th as announced in previous communication amending point 3.3.(Submission and closing date) of the official document. The MEDAMoS team thanks all the stakeholders for their interest in this initiative. All proposals received are now examined within the selection process before submission to the European Commission. Information about the next steps in the framework of this initiative will be released soonest. |

| First Euro-Mediterranean Ministerial Conference on Transport, Marrakech, 15 December 2005
The Conference enabled the transport ministers from the EU and the Mediterranean countries to define the main guidelines for improving transport in the Mediterranean region, and to outline the future priorities for increased cooperation on transport issues.
The ministerial discussions focused primarily on the work undertaken within the Euro-Mediterranean Transport Forum, and in particular the 'Blue Paper on Transport in the Mediterranean Region', and on the final report of the HLG.

| EuroMed Transport Project - Main Contract launches Experts missions to MEDA countries
An international team of experts bringing together specialists from all fields of the transport sector are to undertake a series of two short-term missions in the Maghreb and Mashrek regions. The results of these fact-finding missions will help to evaluate the various elements of the transport systems and policies in each country visited and to perform a detailed analysis of existing national legislations. |
