Activities

The EUROMED Aviation Project has an initial lifespan duration of three years and an extension of one year with three distinct phases, with each phase comprising a set of different tasks, as follows:

 

Phase 1 - Preparatory Framework (0-24 months):

 The purpose of this phase is to prepare the ground for phase two of the Project, by undertaking all necessary training and technical assistance activities that are required to:

A. Support an open, healthy and competitive regional aviation market

B. Promote improved aviation safety in the region

C. Promote improved air transport security  in the region

D. Promote improved environmental friendliness of air transport in the region

E. Support regional ATM cooperation and harmonisation

 

Phase 2 - Elaboration of a Roadmap (24 – 36 months):

This objective of this Phase is to elaborate the road towards the implementation of the Common Aviation Area. It is fully based on the findings of the previous one, and includes two main tasks as follows:

F. Preparation of a Roadmap

G. Impact Assessment of the Common Aviation Area

 

Phase 3 - Awareness-Raising Phase (3 – 36 months):

This is a continuous phase extending throughout the duration of the contract, and aiming to maximise the knowledge about the project among stakeholders, through information, communication and dissemination of the project activities and results.
