Advisory Group Meeting (4th Aviation Working Group)

The first meeting of the Advisory Group took place in Brussels on January 17th, 2008. It lasted the whole day with a dinner in the evening.

Participation was upon invitation sent by the European Commission.

The meeting was attended by 43 persons including representatives of the 10 MEDA countries, participants and coordinators of the European Commission, European and International Organisations.

Summary

The role of the Advisory Group is to supervise progress on the Project and to provide guidance on the major areas of focus. It is chaired by the European Commission and composed of:

  • the National Coordinators of the 10 Beneficiary Countries
  • representatives of International Organisations: AACO, ACAC, ACI, AEA, EASA, ECAC, EUROCONTROL, ICAO
  • representatives of the European Commission (EuropeAid & DG TREN)
  • representatives of EU Member States
  • and the 3 key experts of the Core Team of the Project

It allows to review the past, current and future activities of the Project and provide advice & inputs.
