High Level Conference on “Extension of the major Trans-European-European transport axes to the Mediterranean region”

The conference focused on the:

• Sustainability of the transport for Mediterranean region: presentation of the Regional Transport Action Plan for the Mediterranean Region (RTAP)
• Perspective for infrastructure financing in the Mediterranean region
• Investment opportunities and the private sector

The conference was attended by representatives of the European Commission (European Parliament, EuropeAid,  DG TREN,  DG RELEX), as well as the MEDA Transport Ministers and representatives of the European Investment Bank and the World Bank).
