EU and ECAC Conference - Aviation and climate change: the comprehensive European approach
ECAC and the European Commission are jointly organising the ECAC/EU Conference – Meeting the Environmental Challenge”.
Objectives of the ConferenceThe conference will examine the different elements of the comprehensive approach to tackling aviation’s environmental impacts, including technology, operational and market-based measures.
In acknowledging that Europe’s proposal for an aviation emissions trading scheme gives rise to concerns among some States and operators, the conference will include an explanation of its practical implications and will seek to respond to issues raised about its proposed operation.
Above all, the conference will provide ample opportunity for all participants to engage in a constructive debate on the issues involved in addressing the environmental challenge. ParticipantsThe conference is aimed at all international aviation stakeholders, including regulators and air transport operators.
Registrations to the Conference have to be done on the ECAC website.
For all beneficiary MEDA countries, the Euromed Aviation Project is pleased to announce that it covers the expenses of two representatives per beneficiary country. Each National Coordinator shall be asked to appoint two people. These two persons will have to register themselves on the ECAC website, make their own hotel bookings and inform the Project. Economy Air Tickets shall be provided by Euromed Aviation. 2 or 3 official per diem (3x216€) depending of the number of nights shall be paid cash in Geneva on the 1st day of the Conference by the Euromed representative to cover all expenses in Geneva.
