PANS OPS (RNAV) (Code 56)

Objectives

  • Provide the trainee with every theoretical knowledge to design procedures based on RNAV concepts (SID, STAR, NPA, & APV) with application of different sensors ( VOR/DME, DME/DME, GNSS)

Candidates

  • Flight Instrument procedures designers with expertise in conventional navigation designs.

    Requirements: Mathematics & Physics, System Units, Basics of navigation, Operation and main technical characteristics of VOR, DME, GNSS systems, Basics of avionics, Altimetry, Cartography, scale, WGS 84, projections used in air navigation, Computer science, Expertise in procedures design based on conventional navigation

Session

Course n°1 is confirmed and takes place in Madrid, Spain from 27 October (1st day of course) to 31 October 2008 (last day of course).

This course is delivered by UPM (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid).
