The objective of the Road Map is to implement a Common Aviation Area as decided by the Euro-Mediterranean Transport Ministers in Marrakech (December 2005). Please click here to know more

The elaborated Road Map is the consensus reached during its elaboration phase (please see here under Methodolgy and Planning)

The Road Map:

  • includes a two step strategy and 60 high level objectives.
  • defines steps to be taken at national & regional levels in relation to major items as: stitutional reforms, market structure, aviation safety & security, environment protection and air traffic management & airport capacity
  • defines an implementation planning for a gradual implementation of steps and actions to undertake
  • identifies the key responsible actors & institutions

Specific action plans have also been developed for each country. They are part of the Road Map but not available on this website
