Ce que M. Roel Hoenders a dit sur le projet :
As program manager of the EuroMed Transport program, I am pleased to present this new website which gives a full picture of all elements of the regional Euro-Mediterranean transport cooperation. As such the website follows the existing cooperation process, and places the EuroMed Transport Forum and the Regional Transport Action Plan (RTAP) for the Mediterranean for 2007-2013 as cornerstones of this regional dialogue.

The clear organizational structure of the EuroMed Transport Forum and working groups has proved to be very effective as its shape is easy to understand and facilitates the direct involvement of all different experts from the national administrations, regional and international organizations as well as European Commission services in its work. The structure also clearly identifies which working group is responsible for the follow-up of each specific action of the RTAP at a more sectoral level which further enhances the efficiency of the entire Transport Forum. 2011 will also be an important year as it will feature the mid-term review of the RTAP. Evaluation of the progress made on the implementation of the 34 actions in each of the partner countries has started already, and a more synthetic and comprehensive overview is expected to come out in the coming months. Based on the outcome of this work, the Forum will decide which actions will be true priorities for the years until 2013 and may also give some indications about the work for 2014 and beyond. In general we can say that the regional Euro-Mediterranean transport cooperation stands strong and its long term objectives of facilitating trade flows, enhancing regional mobility of persons and further integrating the partner countries among themselves, are only becoming more and more important in view of the recent developments in the region. With the concrete work of the Forum and working groups on regulatory reforms, market opening of transport services, improved interoperability of transport modes parallel to the transport network planning and infrastructure development, all partners make a real and technical contribution to achieving these long term objectives. With that I hope that this portal will provide useful information to everyone who wants to support the Forum in its work and I thank everyone who has worked on developing this useful one-click access to all relevant EuroMed Transport information.
